East Berlin's Disneyland

Where attractions are just waiting to come to life and make families and children happy again

Once upon a time in Treptow next to the Spree river was a magical entertainment park opened in 1969 as East Berlin's Disneyland. The park later known as Spreepark continued to operate even after the unification of Germany and at its peak hosted 1.5 million visitors a year. In 1999, the park had to cope with large debts and in 2001 he was left abandoned. Those who will visit the place will feel as if time has stopped reigning and the various attractions are just waiting to come to life and make families and children happy again.

In 2014 the State of Berlin bought back the park and started planning its future. The park is being developed into a public and sustainable park . Some old rides including the Ferris wheel will be revived, others will be used as venues for culture and art and The Eierhäuschen will become a restaurant once again.

You can enter the park only on one of the guided tours that are also offered in English on weekends. The tour and visit to the place was a special experience and I highly recommend it.

This year, 2022, the restaurant is expected to reopen, in 2024 the Ferris wheel is expected to operate again and the renovated park will open in its entirety in 2026.

Address: Kiehnwerderallee 1-3, 12437 Berlin
