The cemetery for sculptures
Spandau Fortress, hides within it one of the strangest and most magical places.
The fortress is one of the places in town that I enjoy returning to again and again. Apart from being beautiful and full of history (this is the oldest place where people settled in the Berlin area), a unique cemetery is hidden among its buildings. The cemetery for sculptures. Sculptures from different periods in history that have been removed from their original location and moved to a huge space that displays them. Among the sculpted figures you will also find is the bear Albrecht who gave the city its symbol. Highly recommend visiting the place on your next visit to the city especially when the medieval festival is taking place there.
