Let the sunshine in at Bürgerpark Pankow
Berlin's spring sun comes out only once every few days so if you feel like enjoying it you should do so in this park
This park is located in one of the least touristy districts in Berlin that I enjoy discovering time and time again. One of my favorite places in it is this park. A pastoral island in the urban center where you will find huge lawns, works of art, cafes, cultural performances, water canals and lots of quiet for those looking for a fun day in the sun.
The large entrance gate on Wilhelm-Kuhr-Strasse is welcoming you to another world. The Bürgerpark in Berlin-Pankow is the largest park in the district and offers visitors a variety of experiences including a small park library and the Bürgerparkcafé where you can refresh yourself with a cold beer or enjoy coffee and cake. In the spring and summer, the area also hosts cultural performances, folklore bands and jazz performances open to the public and a variety of festivals.
I like to pack a small bag with a thin blanket, stop on the way at the cafe to pick up a glass of Aperol Spritz and enjoy the sun and the quiet. You should try it!
Address: Wilhelm-Kuhr-Straße 9, 13187 Berlin
